The Committee on the Judiciary is investigating Imran Ahmed, CEO of The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), due to his involvement in compiling for the Biden regime a so-called “Disinformation Dozen” list outlining who should be targeted for the elimination of their First Amendment rights.
Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Oh.), who also chairs the Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, sent Ahmed a notification that the Judiciary Committee will be looking into how third parties like the CCDH are contributing to the “censorship regime,” a coercive and collusive arrangement with the executive branch of the government to censor protected speech and violate civil liberties.
Jordan informed Ahmed that owing to the committee’s constitutional oversight obligations, it is requesting all relevant information and documents from the CCDH in order to determine the extent to which the group may have participating in the censorship of Americans – the CCDH is based out of the United Kingdom, by the way.
“The Biden White House relied on CCDH’s report titled ‘The Disinformation Dozen,’ in its unconstitutional pressure campaign against social media platforms to censor those, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who CCDH maligned as ‘anti-vaxxers … responsible for almost two-thirds of anti-vaccine content circulating on social media platforms,” Jordan’s letter to Ahmed states.
(Related: Twitter, now known as X, just filed a lawsuit against the CCDH and other pro-censorship operatives.)
It should be noted that the documents the CCDH has procured are based on inherently fraudulent statistics. Reports indicate that the CCDH’s data bears a 300-fold magnitude of error, this according to official statistics and numbers from Facebook.
The CCDH has yet to correct the record or issue any kind of apology or retraction, despite the fact that the 12 named individuals in the “Disinfo Dozen” list have incurred unspeakable reputational and financial damage.
Jordan informed Ahmed that he and his organization have until no later then 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2023, to procure all documents and communications from Jan. 1, 2015, to the present between or among any employee, contractor, or agent of the CCDH and the executive branch of the United States government “relating to the moderation, deletion, suppression, restriction, demonetization, or reduced circulation of content; the accuracy or truth of content; or the attribution of content to the source or participant in a foreign malign or state-sponsored influence operation.”
The letter also states that Ahmed and the CCDH will need to present all such documents and communications from the same time period between or among any employee, contractor, or agency and “any technology company, including social media companies, referring or relating to the moderation, deletion, suppression, restriction, demonetization, or reduced circulation of content; the accuracy or truth of content; or the attribution of content to the source or participant in a foreign malign or state-sponsored influence operation.”
Jordan also wants a list of all employees, contractors, or agents of the CCDH, along with their current and prior titles, who during the same time period communicated with the Biden regime about moderating, deleting, suppressing, restricting, demonetizing, or reducing circulation of content.
“Pursuant to the Rules of the House of Representatives, the Committee on the Judiciary has jurisdiction to conduct oversight of matters concerning ‘civil liberties’ to inform potential legislative reforms,” Jordan’s letter to Ahmed concludes.
“In addition, H. Res. 12 authorized the Committee’s Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government to investigate ‘issues related to the violation of the civil liberties of citizens of the United States.'”
